Situated in the Green Mountains at Lamington National Park, not far from our Gold Coast holiday apartments, this picnic spot is surrounded by world heritage listed rainforest. It’s just a short 3.5km hike to get here, and the spot is completely unspoilt. In fact, the only place to sit down is Picnic Rock itself.

Currumbin Rock Pools

Looking for a fun family day out or a romantic date spot with your other half? This picturesque and tucked away spot is the ideal choice for a refreshing open water swim. With plenty of picnic tables, a number of great short walks, stunning views and even slippery smooth rocks to provide natural slides into the cool water, this is a place you’re sure to fall in love with, located not far from our Surfers Paradise holiday apartments.

Tambourine Mountains Botanic Gardens

Another great secluded spot for a picnic is the Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens. Stretching over 11 hectares, the gardens are abundant with exotic plant species and native birds. Just a short drive away, you’ll find a couple of great places to grab a beer and a bite to eat before heading back to our Gold Coast holiday rentals.
